FAQs

What is a career conversation framework?

Conversation Frameworks cover a series of different types of popular conversation interventions – Mentoring, Sponsorship, Stay and Grow conversations.  Each of these address very specific career challenge and all provide employees the opportunity to have conversations about their careers.

There is a lot of research that describes the benefits of these frameworks for employees, mentors and the broader organisation.  In particular the lack of having mentors and sponsors is called out for women and ethnically diverse employees.  All this with very limited expenditure.

Good question.  Before implementation of any of our products in organisations The Careers Company will help you diagnose what it is you need and what will work. See our Organisational Career Benchmarking process.

We want these frameworks to be truly embedded in the culture of your organisations.  We therefore have a number of support mechanisms (e.g. mentor training, introduction of technology and timely webinars) to ensure that this happen based on your need.  You can outsource it all to us if needed!

We would certainly recommend it as there is often administration and tracking involved and partner with a number of inexpensive organisations that can provide this.

We recommend it.  Our clients typically combine Conversation Frameworks with Employee Career Paths and Career Conversations with my team.
